?Dalton McGuinty had the opportunity to deliver a real jobs budget. Despite wasting billions of dollars on untendered contracts to Liberal friendly consultants he has failed to create the conditions that bring well paying private sector jobs to Ontario. Latest Job Numbers Confirm Dalton McGuinty?s ?Jobs Budget? Has Failed To Deliver
NEWS
QUEEN?S PARK ? Newly released national job numbers from Statistics Canada confirm that that the McGuinty Government has failed to create sustainable private sector jobs in Ontario.
The Statistics Canada numbers confirm that in March, 2010 Ontario suffered a net loss of 3,900 full time jobs. Even when replacement part-time jobs are factored into the equation, the McGuinty Liberals are still more than 100,000 jobs short of their own jobs targets. To date, Dalton McGuinty?s so-called ?stimulus? spending has cost Ontario families and taxpayers over $1 million per job created.
One sector of the economy that is flourishing under Dalton McGuinty are high-priced public sector executives, managers and appointees. According to Ontario?s Sunshine List, Dalton McGuinty has tripled the number of public sector employees making $100,000 or more since 2003.
