QUEEN'S PARK ? Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak today announced several changes to Critic, Committee and House Leadership positions within the Ontario PC Caucus.
John Yakabuski, MPP for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke will assume responsibility as PC Government House Leader. Mr. Yakabuski, who previously served as Deputy House Leader, will replace Bob Runciman who was appointed to Canada's Senate last week. Mr. Yakabuski will also continue to serve as the Official Opposition Critic for Energy.
Ted Arnott, MPP for Wellington-Halton Hills assumes responsibility as the new Deputy House Leader. Mr. Arnott will also take over Mr. Runciman's previous responsibility as Official Opposition Critic for Tourism in addition to his existing responsibilities as Official Opposition Critic for Aboriginal Affairs and Culture.
Peter Shurman, MPP for Thornhill will replace Mr. Arnott as Vice Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts. Mr. Shurman will also continue to serves as Official Opposition Critic for Economic Development and Trade as well as Francophone Affairs.
